The book we are currently reading is “Mornings in Jenin” by Susan Abulhawa.
This is a multi-generational story about a Palestinian family.
Forcibly removed from the olive-farming village of Ein Hod in 1948.
The novel’s voice is that of Amal, the granddaughter. She leaves the camps only to return years later to marry.
I have a spare copy of the book available.
We will be meeting on the Tuesday the 28th January at 7.30pm in the Church hall to discuss the book. Everyone very welcome. Just let me know if you are coming so I can sort out nibbles for the meeting. Look forward to seeing you.
