The Church of England has issued an apology to those harmed through homes and adoptions connected to the Church.
The Oxford Diocese has issued its own apology to those harmed through homes and adoptions connected to the Diocese of Oxford.
We recognise that some women, children and families were denied dignity, choice and the opportunity to remain together. Where the Diocese was involved, or failed to challenge practices that caused harm, we are deeply sorry.
Words cannot undo the pain experienced by those affected, but we want to listen, learn and support those seeking information, understanding or acknowledgement of their experiences.

PS If any of our readers has been affected by these practices, and would like to talk to someone about this, please contact our Safeguarding Officer Gillian Gyenes
